Frankincense
Boswellia Serrata is the botanical name for what we commonly call Frankincense. The essential oil of Frankincense is a pure extract of the essential oil of Boswellia Serrata and there is no carrier oil in the product. This is extremely important as the delivery of the Frankincense essence requires ultimate purity.
Effectively Easing the Imbalances of Inflammation
At the Seaside Wellness Center Dr. John Weisberg our resident clinical nutritionist uses the MediHerb herbal complex Boswellia Complex to ease the inflammation of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gouty arthritis as well as acute joint swelling from injury. Other conditions that we effectively collaborate on includes Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and bronchial asthma. I typically join with Dr. Weisberg on these types of cases for co- management. We have found that the application of the essential oil of Frankincense in my Reflexology session supports the patient’s wellness. The human response to this method is most likely based on a number of factors some of them being primal healing currents stimulated by the olfactory mechanisms and some from the herbal’s boswellic acid anti-inflammatory quality. I’ll leave the scientific explanations up to Dr. Weisberg if you have questions. What we can absolutely say about the use Frankincense during Reflexology is that it promotes grounding and sense of purpose. This is a good thing and all without negative side effects.
Yours in good health,
Daryl D. Weisberg, M.S.
